Sunset

Sunset

Is it that easy for you
to just walk away now
from me…from us
all those moments
when there was only
the two of us
against the world

Things have changed I know
what time alone could not do
silence, indifference and gravity has
do you know my love
that you are still
all that I ever wanted
in my day…my life..my bed

I watch in silence
as you prepare to leave
taking a suitcase packed with
nothing that ever mattered to me
and a dream that is all
I ever wanted in my life
is it that easy for you

To all who think this is ME going thru a separation. It is a work of poetic fiction as I work out verse, stanza, etc. It is fiction. Thanks for concern over my situation but I assure you it is just a poem. Irish

Your heart is heavy. I am very sorry for your loss. It is very painful I know. It takes two to tango, they say. A very well written poem though sad. Thanks for sharing. Caroline.

i enjoy your title. the love that people feel within their heart, will always be there. .but will they listen to it, at times, many do hold their grudge or because they are tired, not wanting to mend it with the other. . deeper than their love.it does truly hurt. more than it can be explained to a certain point. great poetry. -Always&Foreve Lynette
