Listen to poem:
Out on the range when day is done
The sun sinks in the west
Where Prairie meets the ocean
I feel I'm just a guest
One of those times, we can relax
Relive the day gone by
Listen to the crashing waves
It is Gods Lullaby
The cattle low, the insects sing
The heat just melts away
The time has come to lay and sleep
So ends another day
The red streaks in the western sky
They almost make a sound
The golden background of the west
Where Heaven meets the ground
The deep azure sky overhead
To black there in the east
Reward is for the hard work done
For sleepy eyes a feast
Sleep will bring her peaceful touch
Upon the eye lids rest
Wishing me a peaceful night
Aware I've done my best
Waking in the morning
Just as daylight spreads her wings
Her fingers reaching, in the sky
Another day begins
