Sun's Sorrow

He saw everything
Yet he could never do anything,
All he could do
Was sing sorrowful songs
And watch

Everyone that he cares for are in pain
Yet all he could do,
Was rise again
And cause even more pain

In sorrow,
The sun fled,
Leaving a blanket of vast darkness
His sister, the moon
Could not help
For the two are far away

Rain fell continuously,
His sorrow never ceasing
But he must return soon,
Bearing pain and hurt

He continues to watch over us.
The wind and rays
Sing his songs
And the rain
Express his sadness
As he bears humanity’s anguish
