The rising sun's fingers cast beams As the truck's tires sing as it comes along The crow now has arisen to caw The lookout caws like something is wrong There across the way the dove coos A crow up the road caws too In the oak tree an unusual sound Such peace proclaimed brand new

Watching the rising sun is always an energizing experience, a call to a fresh day's activities and a moment to thank God for granting one more day. With the rising sun, the world also rises up, the crows start cawing and the doves... cooing! Lovely poem, dear Sara.

Thank you, Valsa. I don't get out there as much anymore because of the heat as of now. It will get better though. Your visits are always uplifting. Sara K

I expected something wrong from the line about the caw, but all turned out well and peaceful!

Andrea, crows have a lookout, and they will call out a warning if there is a danger around so they can get the murder's attention to get up off the ground and up in a tree so they will be safe. So, when the crow cawed his warning it all turned out well. Thanks for the visit. Sara K

Has summer arrived out on the porch. Nearly time to take five jumpers off. Enjoy it while it's here.
