Russell Sivey Poet Haiku

Sunrise

the sun awakens 
bringing darkly lit grey clouds
the sky’s red parade

add yellow to mix
red starts to depart the scene
and the clouds whiten

now the sky finds blue
the clouds reach their full whiteness
the day has begun
