'sunlight'

her outstretched fingers
peek over Table Mountain
new day on the horizon
something we embrace
heat envelop everything 
she’s spreading sunshine today

melodies so sweet
harmony is on the cards
as birds herald her presence 
children’s laughter heard
sunlight in all her splendor
one and all join in the fun
