In A bed They grow tall Golden yellow Blossoms surround seed Pods of dark brown beauty Prickly, scratchy leaves upon Strong, sturdy green stalks that reach high Aiming for illuminating sun

Your descriptive words add a valuable dimension to this beautiful picture. I can imagine a whole field of these flowers and appreciate the opportunity to have my thoughts steered toward a warmer time of the year.

Sunflowers are one of my favorites and I can see by the comments that I am not the only one ... It was so nice to read about these flowers in the middle of a chilly winter season... Very well written, Sara :)
