~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Looking forward to the morn,
When peace signals her breathless ascent,
Across the gentle horizon, sunlight
Reflecting the glistening silence, soothing
Like the grief sometimes poured out,
Over the sighing kindness of dawn,
Fresh hopes, new dreams, prayers
Penetrating the needless words –
That destroy the melancholy, murmur…
Joy into the sunflower’s heart.
Looking forward to the noon,
When the burden of a teardrop
Erases the dawn’s laughter,
Embracing the calm, clear seas with
Kisses, rich and reflective, stirring,
Heartbeats, delicately echoing,
Strange feelings – like a longing,
Embarrassed by the knowledge that truth,
Yes, even truth - sometimes lies to you.
Looking forward to the twilight,
Evening skies in burgundy and cobalt,
Burning with wonder, promises
Like common thoughts, reassuring
Captivating the spirit with a sense of grace,
Deep and intimate, reflective as the night
Who colors the entire world in moonlight,
Stars singing joy through the heavens,
Erasing the all consuming urge to let go
Let go of the moments, so determined to slumber,
On the sunset’s bosom, promising…
Ever promising…
To look forward to the rising of a sun,
Who turns the world back to sunflower perfect.
