Sunflower

To look at you and wonder
At the wonder of your form
Head turned to face th sun
As earth revolves
From morning to meanings
Sinking deeper into night.
Your gold's bright shine
Uncontested from the act divine
Does find me mauled by thoughts
As to what aspect of your delight
Is my imaginations gift to me
And what the distinct nature
Of your unfading beauty
Binding me like a slave in its spell
I believe by faith your petals flamed
So my heart could think joy
And call you sunflower by your name.

Such a beautiful flower, such a beautiful poem, ...this could be written for someone you love....such loveliness. ~
