Sunflower
I am pining
for shining.
The lightness
of brightness.
Oh cast away
the gloomy grey..
to a cloudless
de-stress..
So I can undress
with finesse
to the colour
of Summer;
a mellow..
yellow.
Exposin'
my melatonin
to a fantasy
of vitamin 'D'
Would suit me..
down to a tee.
Out of school
by a pool.
Play hard
Discard.
Shirk
the work
Shed
the load..
Hit the road.
Park the bike.
Drop the mike.
Avoid the spike.
With nothing to prove.
Get into the groove
Slow
the pace
Leave
the race
and
face
the
grace.
