Sundrop Song

If I close my eyes and listen
I can hear drops of sunlight
Landing gently on the fuzzy
Upturned petals of the flowers.
The leaves occasionally quiver
Under the weightless impact
Of the diurnal occurrence.
A breeze wafts by and delicately
Shakes the tiny drops loose.
They fall with an imperceptible sound,
And yet, in the melody of their falling
I can hear your voice saying
“ I love you. “
