Sunday Sparks and Wishes

I wish to be:
the taking of breath
the roof to the sky
a twinkle which splits
into stars in your eyes
the wish of the last
of an endangered kind
a spiraling thought
as it exits your mind
a blade of new grass
as it pales into green
the second you get
everything that I mean
a bumble of bees
to the flower they see
I wish to be everything
you are to me
the bell in a lighthouse
the page to be marked
I wish to be journeys
before you embark
the seas gone to smooth
the end to the start
I wish to be beating
the pulse in your heart
a broken reflection
in mosaic tile
the corners of lips
as they break in a smile
I wish to be something
if even a while
a yearn to be yearned for,
for you to beguile.
