Just a simple Sunday musing..

Sun is hiding behind glimpses of grey. Through the window naked trees, their bark covered in green moss, seem frigid and grisly. Their bird less branches leafless, but debris of broken nests and feathers remain. Forgotten by mother birds who's fledglings have long flown away. (those that did not fall from the nest or became prey to predators) Isn't it interesting how our eyes see things differently? I see so much change whilst sitting in the auditorium of Autumn. In this season of diversity some admire the beauty, whilst others see death and destruction. Seasons can be a reflection of personality and character. Which season are you? Do you know yourself? My Dahlia heart has never been a lover of the cold. If I could sleep like hibernating squirrels, or fly to warmer climates like migrating geese - I would - I should - If only I could. Yet I feel it would be selfish to leave my mother bird - so I sacrifice my own happiness - but wait patiently for permission. But, I'm struggling to sleep among lifeless souls. My eyes perturbed by fake guides with false words. Scorned minds who believe everything they see and hear, plague me with their false prophecies - why is it ok to burn some nests, but there is an outcry when yours is damaged? Are some fledglings more valuable than others.... Tired from the injustices of life, I ponder do we ever learn from the lesson? Revenge and retaliation are never the answer. Hypocrites with blood on their hands should not cry for peace - one life has no value over another - nor does colour, religion or gender. Yet we remain lost in the disorder. Seasons change, but some minds remain the same.. Simple Sunday Musing. 10 December 2023

Very true, dear Silent one, seasons change but some minds remain the same.. Sigh, I've dealt with many such hypocrites around me and see their limits, dragging one to the edge of hating life and then behaving like victimes.. Well, your poem is deeply introspective and so profound as well! I absolutely love your wordplay which is full of insight and vivid in thoughts.. I've never really wondered about seasons, because as dramatic it may sound, my life yet, has been chaotic n full of battles. But-

I think I'm a summer/spring soul.. Just because, autumn brings out the melancholic personality in me, lol, kind of depressive! Winter is better (but not so much haha).. Well, I really loved reading your Sunday musing, it's amazing! :)

'Tis easy to say this o'er that and that but not that, if it were so, but put on the whole breastplate for the seasons purposes our reason of being. Challenges is seeing what the many does not. The snowdrops poking through wintry snow, Oasis spring after miles of desert sands. Whatever season, comes what may. 'Twas sort of my life's work for umpteen years, dealing with adveristies whenever it arises, and sadly it's daily, but so was the pleasantries and happily, much more so. 'Twas job, I loved.

Oh, a poem that begins with soft, beautiful images but later contrasts them with lifeless souls, hypocrites, disorder. That contrast makes your poem so powerful; it certainly resonates with me. I loved 'auditorium of autumn.' FYI, I'm a spring person, not a winter fan but strive to find the beauty and inspiriation within that season. I tire of the injustices you mention just as I tire of winter. The 'hypocrites with blood on their hands' make my blood boil :-) I must fave this one too. Sara

Are some fledglings more valuable than others....of course not--but in your question there was the answer. Tired from the injustices of life, I ponder do we ever learn from the lesson? Revenge and retaliation are never the answer--potent thoughts my friend. But people live within narrow boundaries--that won't change anytime soon.

Thank you Vijay, sadly some like to spread hatred and justify the destruction of nests, just because theirs got damaged.. all nest are important as are all fledglings..

Ahhh wow philosophical words these are dear silent one. Im having a migraine attack today but reading your seamless musings seem to calm my mind. I agree with everything you’ve said here some cry for peace. While violence emanates from their words. I find it strange or ironic i would say, ever since i declared my religion, some dont engage with me wonder why? And they talk about racism, and how racism is so bad. Hypocrisy!!! And ofcourse when i posted my monoku on peace i lost 100 followers-

You are so lovely sweet and kind and so supportive, so if they discriminated against you because of your faith, then they need to stop being hypocrites and practice what they preach... really dislike people like that..

Do you mean on here they dont engage with you or on Instagram? That is sad. People should not judge everyone in a generalised way.. We are all different.. judge people on face value.. sad.

Not that i care. But just an observation. And these individuals advocate for peace? Should i laugh or cry? I have nothing left to say. And about season. Well i think i have winter in my heart. Altho i am spring. But autumn is my fave season: as it depicts changes in a beautiful manner. You definitely have a dahlia heart and the opening lines are beautiful, such an introspective write this is. I absolutely love the way your mind works. You have an empathetic soul. And its not easy for us that feel energy in a world of energy thieves. A fave definitely this is
