Sunday Morning

Saturday night with friends
paste the smile on at the door
dressed up to the nines
hide it so it doesn't show
Sunday morning's coming round
Sunday morning's coming round

we hit the clubs and dance
they're searching for new romance
not me I've had enough
Saturday night alone is fine
cause Sunday morning's coming down
Sunday morning's coming down

maybe if I'm up all night
get in as the dawn's sun shines
I can escape the ritual
that happens when i wake
Sunday mornings bring me down
Sunday mornings bring me down

Sunday's spent with you
love outlasted by each new moon
stripped away each precious layer
to the core which was laid bare
now Sunday mornings bring me down
Sunday always brings me down
