Sunday Evening Stretches

Sunday evening stretches and yawns
  drowsy as a tender fawn
Who frolics and plays throughout the day
then curls up midst leaves to lay

While sleep overspreads her dewy head
  constellations crisscross above her head
How sweetly angels sing in her soft ears
a moonstruck smile o'er her lips appears

     ~ Sweet dreams, everyone! ~

I sure wish Sunday evening would stretch a little further because Monday morning sure does seem to show up a lot sooner than expected. : ) This was really nice my friend, beautifully written.

This is a very sweet, lovely poem, Gershon. The opening personification is absolutely splendid. I may borrow the concept.

This is such a beautiful and relaxing piece to read. Sunday evening comes gently, stretches and yawns and curls up like a warm kitten in your lap while angels sing softly in her ears. Love it. I'm faving this. God Bless, JB
