Sunday

He reached out and took my hand.
Lingering warmth from the early morning
Flowed between us,
Bird song piped and twittered,
Gentle spring sunshine
Broke through the chill March wind.
By the edge of the canal
I placed one foot in front of the other
And my heart smiled.

Who reached out and took your hand? A Policeman? What were you arrested for? What bird a Vulture squawking? Please the poem is in the detail. Don't make me guess.
