I gave up on the prospect of a tan decades ago. Although I endured my share of sunburns until I was in my 20s. Your poem is easily relatable. I like it! We’ve been cooking where I live this summer, for sure.

Thanks Ann, I'm in my sixties and still partake in shake and bake in the sun. I guess I prefer not appearing so Caucasian. Feeding ones ego can be exhausting. I appreciate the feedback Baby Sister.
