Sun and Moon

warm heat radiates
baking the soft fertile soil
regeneration

casting bright shadows
 over sphere covered earth's crust
illumination

the brightness of day
a stark contrast to the night
rays versus moon beams

There's something very special about this poem, Phyllis. I think you succeeded (as Brian Strand has been suggesting we all do) in "showing" as opposed to "telling." The imagery here is magnificent and I wish you success in the contest. I'll send you a Soup mail with my email address. I'd like to know more about the progress you are making. Love, Carolyn
