Summing up

Mr MacPherson, a mathematician Was married to Sally,a keen statistician. With little division to trigger vexation Their conjugal lives led to multiplication. First Roland, then Harry and then the addition Of first daughter Jenny, a gifted logician. The one common factor of great satisfaction Engendering fervour and strong interaction Was love of arithmetic, logic and theories Together with quantum and harmonic series. In sum, they endeavoured on every occasion To bring mathematics within the equation! 24.03.20

Wendy, I don't know how I missed this before, but I'm so glad I found it today! I'm a numbers geek so I loved every little math phrase and pun. Summing Up is a great title, the multiplication "and then the addition" was clever, the ending was brilliant and all your super rhymes and spot-on flow. This is going in my faves! Love it ~ John

Wow. What an honour! I have to admit that apart from being able to bring all these terms together in a reasonable format, I was bypassed when the mathematical genes were being dished out in our family!

So clever, Wendy. This is a difficult style but you mastered it in your poem with wit and humor all while spinning out your mathematical/romantic theme. So well done! Congratulations!

Thank you very much for your kind feedback, J.C. I had Nina's rattling rhyme contest in mind when I started it but didn't finish in time.
