Summertime Ease

Floating in the hands of silver wings & forbidden things
Stiffled by my aching heart
Stumbling into cold & heartless arms
Embraced by the anti-saint

Fallen into the hands of the black knight
Storming across heartfelt fields of make-believe
If only I could believe that there's a man for me
Among the hundreds of thousands floating in the sea

Swimming in a pool of tears, I give in to the fear
Screaming the name of a love who no longer loves me
Building walls around me, trying to keep myself together
I'm easily forgotten, just a passing summer breeze
Just another face in a sea of faces.
