Summer Treasures

On the beach toes in the sand
Kids in the water splashing
Finding seashells in the low tide
Such sweet pleasure
Such a great treasure
In the park ice cream cone in hand
Kids playing on the swings
As the merry go round spins
Musical laughter to hear
Carefree days of no school
Time for the young and young at heart
4th of July fireworks bursting bright
On a mid-summers night
Fall fast approaching
Scrambling for summers last treasure
