Summer Sight

The dark gray winter passed The velvet green spring sidestepped Ah! The gold sheen of summer veneer Dissipating warmth and promising cheer. The weeds, the grass, the slender cattails Having sipped the inebriating ale Flutter and dance with jubilation At last the moments of sun’s celebration! Oh! the majestic shades-gold,orange,crimson!! Shouldn't we all sing and pray in unison? Grateful for each warm long day drenched in the sorcerer’s signature ray. Written 05/13/2016
