Summer Rain
Scorching heat fires my body;
Under the sun I have nobody,
Missing a soul that I adore;
Make him come to my open door.
Everyone loves the summer sun
Resonates of kids having fun;
Riveting, exhilarating.
Alas, I am sorely missing
In this undulating terrain;
Not a drop of summer rain.
