Summer Rain

A perky parched bird's chant
or rejected roadside plants?
Desert like dry river bed 
or struggling seeds?
Furious forest fire 
or wilted weak crops?
Who summoned you here?
Now the soi(u)l is drenched in cheer
Blessed we are...

we need the rain to survive Supraja but today it was unwelcome as we were supposed to be on an organised 'daffodil walk' to see the spring flowers but it is torrential so it was cancelled. :-) hugs Jan xx
