Summer Melody

Swallows return bringing summer Heat waves ruffle the spring air Banyan tree’s scorched shadow simmers As soil cracks in sunshine flare. Night falls with ashes of burnt sky With cool touch southern wind blows Stars twinkle summer melody Lifts up my parched mind morose. May 7, 2019
