Summer Love

I remember the way you first looked at me
Your eyes sparkled in the sunlight
When you talked to me my heart jumped with glee
Everything at that moment seemed right

We spent everyday together
Hoping we could become more than friends
Wanting to stay together forever
Wishing things wouldn’t come to an end

We spent the whole night talking
For tomorrow you would leave
Holding hands and walking
I’m starting to deceive

As I watch you go
A tear fills my eye
My heart filled with woe
As I’m left to cry
