Summer Love

Forced to make a decision,
This was not part of my plan.
I feel robbed of potential happiness
Those summers were so warm,
And full of existence.
Mountains bring into the open,
A sort of humbleness and contentment.
A zest for life,
Found in a lucky few
Who chose to live their lives
with their heads in the clouds.
Never have I been so blessed,
With health, happiness,
Along with great friends and
Endless smiles.
I will miss you, my summer love,
The Rockies.
