Summer Love

SUMMER LOVE

Summer comes around but just once a year
And a time to be spent with someone dear
The days are hazy and oh so lazy
But they are also filled with much good cheer

The hours spent on the beach or by the pool
Or in the shade of a tree where it's cool
Where the time is spent is not the issue
There's nothing that says you follow a rule

For you are with that real special someone
Just to lounge around and enjoy some fun
So make the best of each day that you have
Because the Summer days will soon be done

Then comes life's reality in full force
And you know the fun has now run its course

Good Evening, Eve! Thanks for stopping by. Happy Mother's Day to one of my favorite Soup friends! I have come to regard you as a supporter whose name I know I'll see coming my way whenever I post a new poem. Oh, how I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
