Summer Holidays
I think of the holidays with my parents,
Each summer we would go on holidays together
I remember the beautiful North Bay cottage,
There was an old-fashioned stove.
Our mother would cook delicious food for us,
You could walk along the beach and walk in the knee deep water
Another cottage at a nearby lake,
Where i caught a whitefish,
The fisherman with their fancy yachts were envious ,
Because they didn't catch a fish,
Father cleaned the fish and mother cooked the fish,
And we had that for dinnner with potatoes and vegetables, delicious.
We loved swimming in the lake, our parents taught us to swim,
These are good memories you will always cherish.
Our brother used to like staying at his friend's house,
Future years we would go on Christmas holidays to the Limetree.
We would go with my sons, sister and parents,
We would have a good time and dine at the restaurant at Longboat key.
Then we would go to St. Armand's Circle and shop and dine,
There was a sidewalk cafe and a piano played by a pianist.
We would walk along the white sandy beach and collect seashells,
We would swim in the local swimming pool,
i remember the cabanas on the beach where you could seek refuge from the
sun,
Walks with friends along the beach will always be remembered.
