Summer Heat

Some people like to soak in the sun,
I like to soak in the shade,
sun doesn't care for me much,
on the other hand shade loves me.

The sweetness of a cool breeze,
brings me so much joy.
A hot wind, I can do without for sure,
sun bathing is like laying on hot coal.

Summer heat I can live without,
looking forward to those fall days,
when leaves begin to fall on my head and
a cool air blows my way.

I am hibernating in the AC waiting for Fall. Too humid and oppressive here in the summer. Another poem I can relate to very well. Love, Shar

Good Morning, James. I usually enjoy summertime, however, it has been awful and smokey in No Calif., so I too, can't wait until the rain/wind/and fall weather takes away the smoke from all the forest fires that have taken place in our part of the world. I hope it's nice where you are! Fondly, Carrie
