Summer Fun
Warm summer days bring forth many fond memories.
Children fishing, toes dangling in the water.
Filling a jar with fire flies, only to release them.
Hearing a croaking bull frog, calling his mate.
Swaying gently in a hammock
under an enormous oak tree.
Picnics in the afternoon sun, sipping iced tea.
Fresh corn on the cob after shucking all day.
These are the days of summer,
filled with fun and laughter.
Memories are built in the great outdoors,
meant to be shared by the young and old.
