Summer Evening

As the sun goes down
On a summer’s day
A cool breeze relieves
Memories of the sun
A heat that tests
Is now gone

As the stars and moon
Hold court over us
We will contemplate
The harsh sun
That will blaze in the sky
Of the day to come.
