Summer Day

lemonade, iced tea
the sweet whiff of barbeque
children playing ball
the smell of freshly cut grass
garden fresh vegetables
zinnias in happy colors
robins trilling
the sound of a lawn mower
a buzzing bumble bee
gentle lifting of willow tree branches
tiny bite-sized sandwiches on a pretty plate
parents laughing at a two-year-old's antics
a rooster crowing at three p.m.
children blowing dandelion heads
lively squirrels chasing up trees
smell of a lilac tree
a summer day

Beautiful images of a summer day. I especially loved "a rooster crowing at three p.m." Damnable bird...on my day off, too!
