Summer

Sun setting through the window
Shadows fading on the floor
Orange glow on the carpets
Warm breeze at the back door

Summer has gently started
We have been waiting all winter long
For days of endless sunshine
And the sounds of birds in song

Colour has arrived in the garden
The grass is a beautiful green
Lovely scents fill the air
In this bright summery scene

The winter brings it’s beauty
With clean and pure white snow
But nothing beats the summer
When the greenery starts to grow
