Everything was going for me, I didn’t even know the meaning of the word insecurity and suddenly I am surrounded by words like operation, cancer, chemotherapy, radiation. - Delta Goodrem SULLY AND BOO vast furry embrace bury sorrow in his fold — kenophobia 11/10/2020 Brian Strand’s Sen-ru

I am not sure if this is just a work about the disease or if you have had to face this problem. If you have had to face the dreaded word cancer, I hope that you are okay. Enjoyed reading your write. Thanks for the visit to my page. Sara

We always feel a void as well as sadness when somebody we love is going through a major illness. Well expressed in your poem. Chemo weakens the individual and brings side-effects; but can give us hope that your Mom would get better with the treatment.

Great one dear Kim..Have googled kenophobia and this is what I found. Kenophobia is the fear of voids or empty spaces. This fear can be passed on from the parents wherein they have lived in a house full of stuff that may be viewed by others as a clutter but for that household it makes fills the emptiness of the home. Thanks for an additional vocab to learn.

Thanks for the explanation to Andrea. Not being familiar with 'Monsters, Inc.,' I was pretty lost without it. ~ Home on the Range, The 'Un-Kenophobic'

My mom who loves to walk and play tennis can’t take a walk right now. Poor mommy...

For me, I will deny chemo if cancer returns. I know what bad drugs do to people now and I will refuse to have more damage done to my body. From your poem's words and the title, I take it this is regarding pets? The furry embrace is what I had with my cats before they died. I had to look up kenophobia. A great word, Kim!

Mom has cancer and is going through chemo. There is a gif that shows the character from Monsters Inc., Sully, enclosing a little girl, Boo, in a great big hug. Thanks, Andrea <3

At 18 years I had my first operation. At 80 I began chemotherapy. Such is like we must be strong. ~~
