Suicide Mind

What makes the decision
To flick the switch
To end ones life
For the sake of it

Troubled, debts
Bullied at school
Fork in the road
To let death rule

Mums, dads
Daughters and sons
What ever affects them
They just can't outrun

Sadness and tears
By all left behind
Will they ever understand
Suicide Mind

Just read this James, so today it is, the topic will not go away, Yes your poem so poignant deep and ever so sad. The world today has to plead guilty, the pressure on society especially the young is overbearing...Stay well my friend. Harry

I don't think they can fully understand unless they have struggled with the same feelings. Sadly it is a permanent solution to a temporary problem.

Hard hitting and simple, in my opinion: Brilliant ! Makes me wonder why I didn't think of it first.

Hi James. This piece got to me but in a good way. My mother tried 4 times to end her life before getting the right help and medications she needed to help her live out her life before passing in piece in Gods time. No one, including myself could ever fully understand what was going on within herself despite her trying to explain. Sometimes even they don't know themselves. This helped me to remember her in a good way and to better understand her a little. Great write. Melody?
