Sugar Sweet

You're sugar sweet
I can't compete
He looks at you
as if you're a treat.

Now I'm on my knees.
Begging for release.

You're his eye candy
And I'm the background scene.

You're sugar sweet
but I know your greed
why can't he see
he should be with me

He should be with me.

Many of us have suffered in the way you describe in your poem. Nice write. It reminds me of a song by Taylor Swift, “teardrops on My Guitar”.
