Sugar Bear

I call you Grandfather, friend, protector of the weak, provider for your family, strong, yet meek, the good memories I have are for me to keep. A Grandfather's love, sweet embrace, o sugar bear let me kiss your face. Time stands still, o just for a while, let me remember the times I combed my fingers through your hair. Your the joy of laughter at my side, your the cool breeze blowing and the breath of my life. Your the sunshine that drives the clouds away, your the raindrop that falls on a beautiful spring day. Your the changing of the seasons from January to December, your the snowflake that falls, o let me remember. Your the changing of the tide from day to day, your the little sparrow along life's way. Your my antidote for all my pain and sorrow, you lifted me up, now I can face tomorrow. You gave me wings to soar high above my race, your my Grandfather and friend, let me kiss your face. You will always be my sugar bear.
