Suffer Me

suffer me, sanity, tease me
with your captivity, with
your immense sensitivity.
i am tickled by your
ghost that wanders, lost,
tangled in the forest of my
mind.
suffer me, time, as
you stand, serious,
pretending to find the
tock of my tick.
suffer me, hunger,
scratching holes from
the inside out, needing
air to breathe.
suffer me, anger, the
more you grow the more
you seethe, leaving
screaming trails of chaos
wherever you go.
suffer me, distance, with
your great stretches of
sadness, flooded cities
& madness.
suffer me, finality, & your
desperate subtle way. i
never know when to go,
but with you i just can't
stay.
