When I heard of your passing
My heart broke
For you were a loving friend
Who I could always be myself around
Though no words were spoken between us
For so many years
You were always in my thoughts

I hoped at the end
You knew that you were loved
That you were happy
That you fought your old demons
And conquered them
That you found peace

I hope you are surrounded by Angels
That all your pain is gone
That you reunited with your Mother in Heaven
And that you rest safe in God's arms
Sheltered from the demons that haunted you in life
