Such Is Life

Surprises?
Life is full of them;
One minute you're smiling,
The next you're full of tears...

Brief is the joy the world gives
—Grief, the end of its kind;
A promise the most uncertain,
A happiness that never lasts...

Sometimes it is sunny,
Sometimes it is otherwise;
Sometimes it sounds funny,
Sometimes it is far from that...

Meadows, trees, butterflies,
Moods, shadows, painkillers;
Love, kisses, epic fantasies,
Bombs, wars, endless woes...

For such is life and all it is:
One piece of many parts
—All but plethora of episodes
Played at different times.
