Such Disarray
The coffee pot is on the blink,
one thing I don’t have is time to think.
It snowed last night and I’ve checked my email,
however, sadly, it’s as slow as a snail.
I need to know if the store is open,
closed today, I’m really hope’in.
I’ve spilled my coffee, soaked my tablet;
disarray’s getting to be quite a habit.
The cat’s lost his breakfast and I stepped in it;
life is too challenging, wish I could sit
and in my recliner, sleep the day away;
but, then I wouldn’t get any pay.
My answering machine is filled to the brim;
those political spiels, I sure wish they would trim.
My security camera is now on the fritz;
someone took my wheel covers, and then quickly split.
I can’t even turn them in to the police;
oh god, I forgot to renew my lease!
