Such a Thing

Is there really such a thing? Or just a by-product of sentience. They exist, as they are percieved but not as they truly are. Chemical reactions, each not quite the same, Though the chemical hand which grips the reigns seems similarly powerful. The very processes that allow you to continue, Making you want it to end it. Is there really such a thing? Or just a by-product of madness.
