Such a Clever Thing

Such a clever thing The spider crawls Along the line To spin a web It’s silk Woven like magic Spreading wide High up in the air The glass like yarn Stretching out To the fence Just how Can a small thing Take its formation From hedge To window to flower Balancing on silk So strong The morning sun Shining upon the thread so thin As you awake To the magical creation Of a woven maze Presented by A spider So tiny!

Your attention to details showed you a gem you've penned. I've written haiku about spider on my front porch. Thank you for your visit with warmth.

I love your imagery Gail. A web at night in a frost is amazing! No wonder The Bruce was inspired in that cave. God Bless. D.

Ahh there it is the diversity of life, the life of work in the spider Gail, many people are averse to them, the same with rodents..' I must say I have no particular love of either yet they are a part of life's picture.' pleased to have read this piece of yours today..'

Gail: You've just described one of God's miracles of nature. A wonderful plan for a tiny bug to catch bigger bugs to live on. :o) It almost made me itch to think he might be nearby. Thanks for sharing those thoughts so well put with all of us here at Soup. oldbuck
