Succinct and Full of Joy

Succinct and Full of Joy

Oh, this expansive form moves from side to side;
most of the time it is free to roam the arid landscape of expectation, the things one
hands down in time and fashion – the control we relinquish,
the automatic retributive response to morality,
to limitations – but my fervent brother,
my whole hearted fellow, there is more.
Beyond the barrier of occurrence,
There is faith – a beam pure and simple
 – a salient focused vibration melded
strong in love a forbearance,
you cannot hold it in your fingers
but it’s weighty still, it lingers
in the void it seeks to fill,
in those sparse moments of
doubt and fear it seeks to wrap you,
hold you near, near to where
holy Seraphin herald the
coming of your soul’s inclusion – away
 from this dream,
Away from the roadway's folly,
to a place succinct and full of joy.
