Notes About The Poem

Subtle Glue

Each breath becomes
A measured time

We touch
Beyond the creak

Of infinity’s closing door.

A beautiful mountain
Words could never climb.

The peace within
A sleeping child’s breath

Becomes once more.

Stronger than silence,
Brighter than God

Whose permanent road
We’ve chosen trod.

World and back imagined
Do we travel;

Soft whisperings, no moment
Could unravel.

Being, been, then gone again;
Back and through The now and when.

Suitcase dreams with busted seams.
Pebbles lost to gravel.

We could not give more thanks,
Than give our lives.

All for one lone gift,
To love like this.

Alive to breathe a fragrance
Borne of God.

Children from the living rock
To stone

Light for air,
With no compare

The sweet connecting love
Of subtle glue

Secreted from
The hearts of those who care

Then slow applied to living souls
Like me and you.
