Sublime

I keep my memories deep within hidden in the vast corridors of my mind and there are times that these memories come creeping from my long gone yesterdays into my today ... like monsters from the past like fire-breathing dragons that I thought I had tamed and quieted they stab at my heart and soul and leave my spirit bleeding grief and sorrow ... but, among the painful memories there are also many others I keep like days of sweet rapture and divine love and days of laughter and memories of bliss sublime ______________________ June 10, 2021 Poetry/Verse/sublime Copyright Protected, ID 06-1362-521-10 All Rights Reserved, 2021, Constance La France Written for the Standard contest, All Yours (Jun 11) sponsor, Brian Strand, Judged 06/11/2021 First Place

Life brings tears , smiles and memories. Tears dry, smiles fade but memories last a lifetime. Nicely penned, Constance:)
