Subconscious Saves You Once Again

Assertive Letters
		                    An Instant Recognition.
                                  White border, white letters.
Red sign on a tall unnatural pole.
In charge of keeping us safe, unrecognized.
Brain applies feet before you realize
You are slowing down for a
                                            Concrete stop.
                                               On Auto
                                                Pilot, No
                                                Idea You
                                                Were
                                                Paying
                                               Attention
                                               Because
                                                 You
                                               Weren’t.
                                               I have saved
                                               Your life once
                                               Again. And
                                               The lives of
                                                Others.
