The following poems are a study in poetic form using variations of the same theme, that of sisters. The use of titles of songs by "The Veronicas" of which I found to be moving was my prompt and are included in each of the poems, and with which I wish to pay homage to these two sisters and their music. They are as follows:

Song Titles by “The Veronicas”
-Speechless-,-Heavily Broken-,-You Ruin Me-,-Let Me Out-,-You and Me-,-In Another Life-,-I Can't Stay Away-,-Worlds Apart-

Stolen love as sisters grow apart and find romance with partners.  A Modern Sonnet with imperfect iambic tetrameter meter (heavily broken can not fit iambic meter) and rhyme (one and on).

The stolen love of you and me where once reflected two is one the thought of you still lingers on as in the looking glass I see your image looking back at me. So very close through years were we, til temptress's wiles destroyed my soul, enchanted mistress took control, oh demon femme please let me out, you ruin me with words you say, as heavily broken the doubt remains, yet, I can't stay away. In another life, worlds apart, your eyes reflect two in my heart. 08/15/2019

It is a bittersweet moment to have to feel left behind when our loved ones find love elsewhere... I found this poem and the topic to be very interesting, unique and inspiring. Very well written and expressed James!

Thank you Kelly, this happens so often as children move from adolescence into their teen years, one usually slightly older than the other finds new interests.
