Stuck Inside

As I sit inside this vessel of sacred flesh and bone.
I ponder my existence, my passions, my place in this home.
I watch life moving.
Undulating around me.
Passing me by as I sit.
Stoic, frozen, and alone.
I attempt to reach, to speak, to plead.
I cry, I give up.
My attempts, my trying.
I realize now
I haven’t moved nor spoken.
My body, mind, and spirit have played a cruel joke.
As I’m forced to back down and hide.
I realize sadly I’m still stuck inside.
